What's life without a little risk? Or, I guess in this case, a lot of risk! I leave for Egypt in three days where I will be joining ISIS never to return to the States ever again! KIDDING DAD!! ... the next month I will update this blog every day I can so check in and see our progress and enjoy taking this trip with us.

Leaving Cook Valley, our apartment home, with a bright sun in the east spells a good day ahead. "Morning has broken like the first morning" runs through my mind as we head us west on I-96 toward Holland, past Benton Harbor and maybe a stop in Hammond, IN at Cabela's. It is always a treat to see the display of animals. Cabala's is very ...

... area. Most community members are forced to go to the bathroom in the bushes, in the river, in plastic bags, or in make shift bathrooms where everything still ends up on the ground. May I remind you of the flood waters, sweeping across the flat land, bringing whatever is on the ground to 5 feet high. The flood waters are a toxic mix of belongings, feces, bodily fluids, and garbage. Building a bathroom in Cangumbang is a utter necessity, for the community's health and ...
