... as they could. either way I was very happy to be leaving there. but also very happy for the memories and few real friends I made there. i never wanted to tell a pity story or vent about my anger from these situations...just wanted to be honest in my lookback on my summer. most of my other posts were about the amazing things, places and people I had met....dont want to just rehash that to make this post seem balanced or less negative.
... priest lake. We got up there easily and just sat by the edge and looked over the lake. We only stayed a bit then stumbled down the mtn back to our cars to head back to Elkins...I had work that night at 6pm and had to get back.
I was glad to be able to get that close to Chimney Rock this summer. That was on my bucket list of places to go and things to do. A memorable experience. But for anyone that knows backpacking....every trip is memorable!
