... Cafe, for Seafood Chowder and Prawns which are lovely. We get back on the trolley bus and go to Coronado Island and stop at the Del Coronado Hotel. The beach at Coronado is magnificent and has one many championships. It has regularly been voted one of the top five beaches in the USA. After a stroll along the beach and check out the fantastic sand castle we get the trolley bus back to the Old Town and pick up the car back to the apartment.

I was later supposed to find some folks from the web site "cruise critic" at the Holiday Inn Bayfront but, perhaps, since it is now a Wyndham and not a Holiday Inn, nobody was to be found at the appointed hour. I need a haircut so I am off to find one and Acy Saria at Salon Tonic on India Street deals with my unruly locks after which ...
... the day was the Halloween party held at the local West Marine store.
As you can see from the pictures, we took it pretty seriously. The Pan Am Girls & Captain won first place for those costumes but I gotta tell you high heels are not an easy thing to wear. Nearly everyone in the place wanted to have their pictures taken with us. It was a very fun event with a lot of really nice folks.

... back in the day. It has a light show each night that is under a barrel vault canopy that goes for four blocks. It's huge!! Unfortunately we didn't know that it was only at night that the canopy was turned on so we didn't get to see the show but could tell it would have been pretty cool and wished we knew earlier. There was also a really old school McDonalds the sign and booths inside we're hilarious. We also drove to the pawn shop that the TV series ...
