... them are 2000+ feet above the canyon floor. Peaks also have Biblical names given them by the Mormons when they settled in the area: West Temple, Altar of Sacrifice, Angels’ Landing, White Thorne, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Note: Zion Canyon was named by Mormons who called it a Place of Refuge or Place of Solitude.
