... to message my friend Simon about the plans, but was still told no. A Spanish woman who was trying to find a quicker route to Rotterdam as well was kind enough to let me use her data, so I was able to log on quickly to Facebook and message Simon about my arrival.

Originally I was going to spend just two nights in The Hague - long enough to visit the incredible Louwman Museum which is a must if you love cars like I do - but when I looked up the cost of hostels in Amsterdam I decided to spend an extra night in The Hague and one less in the 'Dam.
