It's a nearly 6 hour drive to a town (or city as Americans like to call all towns) called Roanoke. We chose the place because it is located in a valley between the Smoky Mountains, the Shenandoah National Park and of course the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. ... Farmsville. Lots of people bought a lot of food. I didn't think I needed any more snacks but as we had 2 hours until getting to the hotel, probably after 7pm I got cheese and crackers. Had a look at the sporting section again, bigger selection of guns this time. Finally got to the hotel. Went down to pool while doing laundry. Water cool for once. We went to the bar for dinner and had the ribs. They were delicious. Trying to get an early night. Big day of driving again ...
