The city was due to be filled with people for the weekend and as Dyanne our host is the City Clerk for Savannah she helped us to prepare ourselves for what we were about to witness. We set off from Charleston at 4 in the morning and arrived in Savannah at dawn to take up a pre booked parking space at the Savannah visitor centre before the roads were closed for the parade.     ... This included evening wine & cheese and breakfast. It was a small room, but very posh. The Riverfront and historic section are awesome, sites, amazing homes, great parks and squares, and lots of food places to try.
    We originally planned on moving to Tybee Island for our 2nd night, but after we spent the afternoon strolling the streets we came to the conclusion that this was a place to spend another night! ...
