The staff are all friendly and accommodating. We stayed there last June 2009 at a king size deluxe room which is clean and organized. The service and ambiance is great! I love the pool area and they even have a life guard at the beach.

... We had a wonderful dinner that night with white dinner jacket clad service and an amazing menu filled with lobster, filet and all of the trappings that an over the top formal evening should have. After dinner we retired to our new favorite evening haunt, the Avenue Saloon where there was an incredibly entertaining and talented piano performer Mark Ferris who involved the crowd and made for a wonderful end to many of our nights on the ship.

It's one of those ports (and there has only been a couple so far) where they can only show you what's there and when there isn't much there it can be a little disappointing. ... Po Lin Monastery which is home to the largest outdoor Buddha in Asia, wowzer at 85 feet high and sitting on the top of a mountain, it really is quite spectacular. Vegetarian lunch was cooked and served by the monks...I have to say I was slightly hesitant but it was quite delicious. We sailed away from Hong Kong on Monday night (I'm behind with my blog!), had a day at sea yesterday and Sanya today.... Next blog update coming ...

We set sail at 7 pm last night in very cloudy (smog) conditions. Had a lovely dinner at a new table on the upper level of the restaurant and met a nice couple from Melbourne. They are travelling Singapore to Hong Kong as are most people we have met except the round the worlders (one couple from Caloundra would you believe) who then fly back home from UK. Early night ...
