Trip from Darwin to Kakadu today. Early start as is becoming the norm. Started off looking at some old aboriginal rock painting. Nothing too exciting, but they are apparently 20,000 years old and show pictures of Kangaroos which is fairly interesting in itself (maybe - it may have been drawn yesterday!). Followed this up with lunch and a …

After spending 4 nights in Darwin we picked up two rental cars from Avis in downtown Darwin and headed for Kakadu National Park, the next leg of our trip.

We headed east up the Arnhem Highway (Route #36) towards Jabiru. On the way we stopped at the Alligator River for a lunch break at 'Windows on the Wetlands' and to do the 1:00PM cruise …

We drove west from Jabiru and turned off onto a dirt track which the guy in the information centre had …

After listening to the ranger talk we wandered over to the resort, the kids immediately got in the pool and we all decided that we would leave the camp at …

Loved the little cabins, the tropical surroundings and the ourdoor dining area. Had a wonderful dinner while a torrential rain fell just a meter away.
