I enjoy traveling alone. And, I do mean the actual travel. Long train rides and stopovers to myself are a small pleasure that I don't really experience - even during "me time" - while at home.

While I could have flown from San Diego to Mexico City, I opted for a slightly cheaper flight from Tijuana. My good friend's husband dropped me off at 7am, and with plenty of time to kill until my 1:45p flight, I gave in, purchased a ...

... today - there was a raccoon, a okapi (go google that one!), and a Bontebok just to name a few. But I was also happy to be reacquainted with the silverback gorilla, the Arctic Fox, the grizzly bear and pygmy marmoset. We saw a tall sail ship called The Star ...

I was asked not to take photos, but of course I had to, so most photos were taken without looking through the camera, but holding waste high and hoping for the best, so the photos might be a little skew if.

... a bird would snatch the fish out of your hand. We also saw a dolphin show and the shamoo show. If I were 5 or so, it wouldve been great. The dolphin show was about a girl who had a dream to be one with the dolphins and it was like a cinderella story with singing and people dressed up as birds and acrobats and lots of singing. The dolphin tricks were cool though, so amazing how they are trained. Shamoo was a bit less disney and a bit more dancing and giving a message to protect ...
