On my way to Fred and Charlene!

          ... night ;-)

The rest of the day, a little walk to my artists' shop, a quick look at Powell's bookstore, and then, back to the hostel, take my bags, light rail to the Beaverton Transit center where my little commuter train would leave around 4 pm. Time to go eat a blue cheese hamburger at the Red Robin! This is kind of becoming a tradition ;-)

Arriving at Wilsonville I saw Fred and Charlene waiting for ...

... In our frenzy that day, and a very
productive and important frenzy it was, we booked our accommodation and
transport for pretty much the next month, This was all well and good until last
night when Jason aka Alabama reminded us of the Redwoods, something that had
been on my mental to-see list since the beginning. After some internet
searching, it became pretty clear that the Redwoods were not going to happen
unless we rented a car, and ...

... my time with Betz, who is going to be 84 in Sept, just 10 years older than me!

May 22, 2014 Thursday- I was up at 6:30 and ready to leave by 7:15, but Betz was still asleep and I tried to wake her but she is really OUT! So finally left about 7:45 and headed north through Missoula and Spokane and finally into Oregon and ended at Elaine’s in Prineville at a bit after 6. Almost ran out of gas—John had called me ...

Too bad, Dr Woo only sings at night

Haha, now you wonder who is this singing Dr Woo?

Fred lived for 30 years in Asia, and in China people like to have a cricket as home pet! So, Dr Woo the cricket lives in a lovely little bamboo cage, with a tiny tiny blue and white porcelain eating dish, and lives in a half walnut shell with a little hole in it.

Dr Woo does not move ...

... to leave now! Today is the day I was supposed to go to Yosemite. I'm gutted that I couldn't do that yet, but with any luck the government shutdown will end soon and I can re plan it before I go home. So, this week is a spontaneous gap filler. I decided on Portland Oregon generally, but with a few days in a neighbouring town that I won't name yet, want to get there and do pics before ...
