To make our last day extra special Sydney decided to wipe away the clouds and presented us with a full day of sunshine, clear sky's and 29 degree heat. To make the most of the beautiful weather we got up early and made our way to Circular Quay to board the ferry to Manly Beach. Maybe a ferry ride, and dinner at the Opera ...

... sunbathing and trying to escape the growing shadows from the buildings behind us. From here we grabbed a couple of the free hot dogs on offer from the hostel and returned to our little apartment area armed with a case of goon. The next two days proceeded in a very similar fashion and before we knew it we were on our way to the much more backpacker centered Byron Bay.

Thus on Saturday 20th September we checked into one of the best hostels of the trip so far! In ...

... you would call it :-) 8. Invaluable experience to put on your resume. Employers are actually really impressed if you’ve done some travel, and even more impressed if you’ve taken off to strange lands by yourself for extended periods of time. The bottom line is this makes you a more desirable employee. People want competent people. They want people who have real world experience. And doesn’t that sound like something you want, too? 9. That ...
