... of the best sites of the trip so far. It was a series of 1.25% larger than life bronze sculptures of a pioneer wagon train. It was so realistic Peg had to go up and feel the harness on the horses to make sure it was bronze not leather. The detail and variety of figures from oxen to mules to the wagons and the people was just astounding. Seeing these figures juxtaposed against the modern city buildings was surrealistic. .

7/1 Day 10 It was a quiet day in Lake Woebegone, oh, it is lake Manawa. We continue to camp at Lake Manawa State Park in Iowa. It was a quiet day. We slept in then went to the visitor center in Omaha. They appraised us of many more sites to see than we will have time for. We then went to lunch at this very quaint French bistro / wine store. ... we are seeing more and more large commercial grain elevators. The few farms we did see with grain storage had pigs or beef cattle. In the photos Peg shot what she thought was a large grain elevator and later saw one much bigger. Also got a photo of a grain truck being filled with a giant bucket loader.
