Great location and rooms basic but clean and homely. Staff at reception really helpful. Pool on roof is a great asset but could be made more of, feels a bit unloved but the views are stunning especially when a cruise ships leaves the harbour. For such a big branch wi fi should be provided free!!

Very central hotel. Ideal for new visitors to Sydney as it is within walking distance of all the sights. It isn't a cosy plush hotel it is basically a place to lay your head so for me not a relaxing hotel. It is great views of Sydney bridge and the Opera house.

Very Clean, Beautiful Hotel. There is a rooftop pool and spa overlooking the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Id stay here again. The only thing that isnt great is that there is a high charge for Internet.

          TERRIFIC HOTEL

          from

For the location, price, and amenities, you can't beat the Old Sydney Holiday Inn. The Rocks Weekend Market is just outside your door, the staff is courteous and helpful...the rooftop sauna, heated pool and views are stunning. We enjoyed breathtaking sunrises and loved walking out the door to Circular Quay. Close to everything and will highly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone.

          Great location

          from

Just got back from Australia, spending the first 2 days at this hotel. Wish we had booked it for our final 3 days after our travels around Australia. It had the best location. We were able to walk to most attractions and just walk out the door and you are on George Street where all the shopping is.The hotel is the nicest holiday inn that I have stayed in. The staff was the greatest. I would stay at this hotel again.

          Perfect

Perfect for our requirements. Staff accomodating friendly and helpful. Location great for walking to most locations and ambient for pedestrians. Rooms and facilities provided everything for a comfortable and luxurious overnight

          Very nice, great location

The location and value can't be beat. Not too many king sized rooms. If you want one, book early. Rooms are clean and have everything a busy traveler needs. We would stay here again.

          Location and value

Just spent four nights in Sydney at this Holiday Inn....staff were all very helpful and nice. The concierge got me a ticket to the Opera on short notice. My room had everything I needed and a great view, with a window that opened. What a terrific location.....near the ferries, and the Opera House, and the bridge. The Rocks rock, and so does the Old Sydney Holiday Inn. I'd recommend it.

what a pleasure to find a reasonably priced, comfortable hotel in such a magnificent location. The room was bright and fresh, better than I expected from a corporate chain hotel.Food and service were of a high standard and the staff were all genuinely pleasant.Best thing though has to be the close proximity to all of Sydneys premier attractions and the incredible view from the roof terrace.Highly recommended!

Old Sydney Inn - Holiday Inn

          from

Spent 8 days in Sydney, and this was the perfect place to stay! In the rocks, inexpensive and comfortable. We do not like to spend $$ on hotel rooms - we never are in them! Having the weekend market right outside the door was great! A 5 minute walk to the ferries, and the best breakfast in town at the City Extra across form the ferry landing. Would recommend this to anyone!

          Totally Fantastic

Beautiful room with fantastic view. Location ideal with easy walk to Circular Quay and Opera House. Would definately stay here again.

          Wonderful location

Friend and I stayed there in 1998. It was a lovely hotel and located within walking distance of the Opera House and the Sydney Harbor Bridge. However, I believe it's not called the Old Sydney Park Royal anymore. The new names eludes me at the monent.

          Amazing location!

          from

Lovely hotel with roof top jacuzzi and sauna overlooking the opera house and the bridge - we had it all to ourselves - amazing views. Big rooms, great food. Perfect for exploring sydney.

Up at the crack of dawn this morning – well 5am to be exact. We'd arranged that either Deb or Ian would pick us up at 6.30am to take us to the airport. Truth be told didn’t really have to be up that early as I’d had everything organized by the night before. So a leisurely shower, dress and a couple of cups of coffee and we were …

So on the Friday afternoon I left Manly and moved myself and all my things to the Holiday Inn at the Rocks. This is not like a …

Seems we have lost another day travelling East with the time differences. A midday flight but didn't get to our Sydney hotel and check in until around 7p.m. The hotel was in the perfect position for exploring Sydney but we only had time for dinner and a quick look at Circular Quay today. Well what a difference it is being in Sydney lots of people and everywhere so busy.......we got to the hotel about 11am after a shuttle bus nightmare at the airport. The room was ready so we could unpack as we are here for 5 nights! We had lunch at the Orient hotel which had a cosy courtyard out the back.
Our hotel is in a fab location at the …
