Fri Oct 24 Staying with the family. Woke up this morning feeling horrid so opted to spend the day in bed. Rob is fine so he headed off for some sightseeing, into Nuremburg and the to Gabbys parents for lunch. I got up about 3pm, felt a bit better but didn't last long. Back into bed at 8pm. Rob went to a soccer match in the evening, Furth against Frankfurt, with the boys, their team didn't win unfortunately :(, but they all had a few beers and a great time ...

... hour, a bit bumpy landing but otherwise ok. On arrival we were greeted by Gabby, Gerhart and Gabby's parents. After cake, coffee, beer, schnitzel, white wine, red wine, and panadol, I headed to bed for an early night, feeling ****** with my cold taking hold ...

Definite limitations on the size of the boat that can travel through the locks. We are now traveling vertically up 87 feet, the 3rd lock this size to raise us up. One more tall one and we will be crossing the Continental Divide; then we start going ...

Viking Alsvin arrived in Nuremberg. This is the city known for the trials of the Nazi Party Leaders for their crimes of hatred to humanity. Here, Bavaria's second largest city had us visiting on our bus/walking tour.

The Nazis saw Nuremberg as the ideal setting for their activities. It was here that the ...

... I have a DDAY shirt but I'm not wearing that in Germany! I was really undecided what to do because Nuremberg train tickets seemed really expensive online but I really don't know what else to do in Munich. I walked down to the train station and the regional ticket to Nuremberg was cheap so I decided I was going there! I hopped on the train and away I went! For a city that isn't that far away from Munich, it was one of my longest trips it seemed like! The ...
