We drove a couple more hours away from the city and stayed in probably the nicest roadside motel I've ever seen for only $45! I told Dave I wish we could compress the room and take it with us. The owner was super nice too. It was called the Cactus Inn.
Tomorrow we head for the hot springs (which will be awesome in this chilly weather) in Ojo Caliente!

We went to a rodeo. A roping event at the State Fairgrounds. Big deal with Big prize money. Horses and cowboys everywhere. We watched a competitive roping event with $150K for the winner. Very strenuous and large amount of potential danger-all ages. Some looked as young as 10 years.
