We just finished eating the lobsters. It was kinda hard to eat since we don't have the shell opener, but we did crack the shell at a few places. Now time to relax!
We decided to come see the beach, so here we are at the beach. It's a pretty nice beach and practically nobody was around. I wonder why. In any case, I figured it was the right time so I proposed as the sun was setting! We are now engaged! Anyway, too bad we didn't get to take pictures since it was really really windy. We are leaving for the hotel now.
We just got a couple of steamed lobsters and a cup of clam chowder again. We decided to take them back to the hotel because the wind was really strong. The place is very hidden, but if you have a GPS, you should not have a problem finding it. Just turn left at the dead end.
We just got to the hotel. We will rest for a while and see what will happen later on today. It is interesting though that the river next to New London is called the Thames river.
Today we explored the south coast of Long Island all the way through the Hamptons to Montauk where one of the oldest lighthouses in America is. This one, at Montauk Point, was commissioned by George Washington, and is also where the famous slave ship Amistad came ashore and where Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders were quarantined after coming down with malaria.
