Last night we watched the NCAA championship game with some new friends at the campground. They had a very nice RV (nicer than ours!) with a TV on the outside of the rig. We enjoyed our evening, despite neither MSU or Arizona in the game.

Note; lunch was superb too with traditional Louisianna friend chicken, gumbo and a desert not unlike doughnuts but actually, nicer....
Time to leave Blue Dog heaven and chatting to Jessica, hotel manager of the year!, she suggested popping down to Avery Island taking in the home of Tabasco and also visiting Shadows of the Teche a magnificent antebellum Louisianna mansion in New Iberia (the town George Rodrigues is from!). I was going to go to The Blue Dog Cafe in Lafayette where George often had his lunch, maybe I would get to meet him! Sadly, this past December George succumbed to cancer, which was dreadful as he was only 69. However, I would still go and see the Cafe, have lunch and tip a glass or two to George.
