Our hotel was small and set in the Indian quarter of Paris, it was basic for one night and served our needs, (once we eventually found it that is!) The Eurostar fast train to Paris was great and took no time at all, we coped really well considering the idea of being under a tunnel for so long wasn't appealing at all. ... to couchsurf to build up their profile and meet new people while not being left in a city all alone with nowhere else to turn if they felt uncomfortable. I was still able to give them a tour of the city and introduce them to my friends but was also able to go run around and drink with my friends without having someone else with me the entire time like I did last time. It makes planning and organizing a bit easier and all three of us had a really good time.
