... Columbia. The first stop was the State Museum. Triple A gave this museum a GEM. I'm not sure about the gem, I will give it three thumbs up. The exhibits rated highly in the Revolutionary War and Civil War sections.

Not far from the museum was the State House and a self guided tour. Construction was halted during the Civil War and Sherman hit the building with a few cannon balls. The location of the strikes are marked with stars on ...

... Correll walked us down the same road the troops had come in on. He explained the conditions and placement of troops in battle. The Battle of Cowpens was a turning point in the revolutionary war. On the grounds of the National Park site is the Robert Scruggs House, which we visited as well.
