    MONDAY: We woke to a massive thunderstorm in Florence, with the lightening even very noticeable in our room! Actually it felt like a welcome relief and certainly wasn't cold outside. Not so great in that we had all our bags and cases to navigate across the road to the train station; so out with the umbrellas and after a quick cuppa, by 9am we were hitting the pavement in the downpour.

    ... cooked right in front of our eyes and the chef let us take a picture to prove it. Emma had a really good looking pasta.
