      On the road home

A travel blog entry by dkauten on Feb 15, 2015

Picked up the car at our friends, the Meadors. Hitting the road for Atlanta. Wow, it's been a whirlwind expedition! Feels like we've been gone for months. Can't believe how much we've seen and all the places that we've been in the last 26 days. I will certainly view so many of the places we've visited with a different set of eyes and opinions ...

After breakfast I found a bus to take me to Little 5 Points. A small area with boutique shops and cafés etc. Loads of vintage shops, which usually I can't stand because of the rummaging but today was different. Had to really ...

... hotel room. The next morning we woke up as usual and mum and I went out to the car to pack our things before we left for Tallahassee, Florida. I was shocked when I saw that our rear drivers side window had been smashed in. It was a mess, with glass everywhere. Mum then realised the camera bag was left in the car last night. The bag, along with the camera and memory cards had been stolen. We called the cops, put in a police ...

... it did). Then we went to Panera Bread for lunch and got two sandwiches to share. Once more we were on the road, so yet again I slept.

When we arrived at our hotel, we dropped our bags off and walked to the World of Coca-Cola. Our tour took around 3 hours and covered when Coke was invented and many other fun facts. I got to hold an Olympic torch and taste 60+ ...
