Historical Traveler Reviews of Holiday Inn London-Heathrow M4, Jct.4 West Drayton
Nice Hotel

Impressed with hotel. Rooms very clean.
Not impressed with the restaurant though. Dinner for 2 was over £120. I would have expected to pay no more than £50 - £60 in a decent restaurant for what we got.
Not bad

nice hotel, good location from airport.
rooms have been refurbed and were very nice but room was incredibly hot, therefore got very little sleep. for this reason would not go again, but good value for money.
Brilliant

We stayed here for 1 night with 15 days parking. The staff were great. The room was so quiet and the bed was comfortable. Nicely decorated with everthing that you need. We had a meal in the evening which was very reasonable and tasted great. We used the taxi for £8.00 to get to and from the airport. It only took about 5 minutes to travel. Better option than the hopper bus. Would definitely stay again.
Very nice hotel

This hotel is certainly a very good choice if you have to spend one night near Heathrow airport. It is just 5 minutes by taxi from Terminal 4 and there is a bus service between the hotel and the airport (I would reccomend the taxi anyway, a cheaper and quicker option if you are travelling with at least another person). It is not a cheap choice though.
Rooms are really beautiful, simple but extremely clean and confortable. Breakfast was very good. Do go to this hotel if you don't care about your credit card bill.
Great value

Great little hotel for which we got a a fantastic rate. The rooms were a good size for the price and the restaurant was actually very reasonable. The only detraction was the sound proofing on the door between rooms - we could hear our neighbours tv for most of the night.
Rather than catch the hotel hopper bus from the airport you can catch the 144 from Heathrow Central bus terminus for free to the first stop if you want to save you fare to this hotel.
Would definitely stay there again if I had an early flight.
Great Parking packages available

We had a 1 night stay here before a 2 week trip to the States. £80 including 2 weeks parking. We found the shuttlebus quicker than queueing for a Taxi on the way back, but as other tripadvisor users state, make sure you get the bus to the right holiday Inn! The staff were great, Kids eat free in the restaurant-food was ok. It is as you expect a chain hotel to be , but we found it very friendly and efficient. Would definately use it for parking again, including the hotel stay still cheaper than airport parking, and no queues to get out, no scrabbling for change to validate your ticket when all you have is dollars.
Reasonable airport hotel - but confusing transport
from peterjames2000
found it to be the usual anonymous but OK airport hotel - like others got a good deal on priceline of £45 so cant complain. however what is confusing is that there are 3 holiday inns at heathrow - you can easily (as I did) get on the wrong bus at the airport. check the exact title of the hotel you want (this one - I think is HI M4 as opposed to HI ariel and HI something else). note also that there is a £3 bus charge each way - can be cheaper and quicker to get a taxi if there are 2-3 of you.
Fantastic!

Got this on Priceline for a much, much cheaper rate than offered (best rates are 60GBP Sat/Sun , 70GBP Mon-Thurs at time of posting). Placed on Executive Floor with my Basic Priority Club Membership. Curtains that fully blocked-out the light, great bed, newly renovated (great use of light-tone wood), and a great bath. Only problem was that the restaurant's curry buffet wasn't that appealing.
Tip about getting there from the M4: Keep taking the absolutely left-most turn until you pass under the motorway.
Would stay there again

Got a fantastic rate for this hotel through online bidding (£30 a night, hence we really have no complaints!) We also got a room on the executive level. Nice clean room with all the trimmings plus (two!!) showers in the bath. - First time the picture on the website has truly represented the quality we -actually- received. My only complaint is that the duvet/comforter could have been larger (it only just covered the bed) but that is being picky. I would also avoid the Rotisserie restaurant in the hotel, the food looked and tasted like it had been sitting under the heat lamps for too long - you can get better quality food for cheaper elsewhere.I don't know what the regular rooms were like, but would definitely recommend the exec level rooms.....but shop around you can get it much cheaper than the rack rate!
