Holiday Inn Little Rock/Dt-Pres Conf Ctr,

... last ride thru because my motel is 5 mi south of I-40. The motel seems to have little on the city itself so I will peruse my guide book and see what else is noteworthy besides the Clinton Library. I got all excited that there was a barbecue place beside the motel, until I realized it was abandoned.

... Oh, and this blog was recently featured on TravelPod's main page! I've almost doubled the total number of hits I've had in this month alone, and we're only halfway through it. Thanks to TravelPod for that, and thanks to all you people who are reading this because of that. Sorry they waited until I was back home, but I'll eventually use this blog on more travels, so if you liked my writing, check back every once in a while.

Ok..so after a unfound 126 Exit and many phone calls, all of our group (with exception of Whimpy's car...we temporarily lost her but she is stoped a few exits away!) stopped at a Wendy's for lunch. The trip has been pretty uneventful so far. Thnakfully no break downs or any big problems. We are almost done eating and then will head back on the road we are a little over a thrid of the way there!! And trust me all of the girls are sooooooo excited, and the coaches are pumped ...

After a full day of packing and cleaning the house on Saturday, we woke
up Sunday morning ready to go. We had a few last minute things to take
care of, so we left a little later than we had planned - around 8:45
a.m. Google Maps and the GPS had us taking 316 to I-20 in Atlanta, so
we followed it. There was very little traffic on a Sunday morning. From
Atlanta, we headed west on I-20 into Birmingham, Alabama. In
North Little Rock, Arkansas, United States jspringe

Had breakfast of waffles,eggs in the hotel.
Drove to the William Clinton Library Museum..
Saw the president's limo,replica of the oval office and cabinet room.
The exhibits are Clinton's presidential works and memorabilia.They are high tech.
There is also a temporary exhibits of Peter Max,,the 60's artist.
Rode a free electric ...

Lunch at McDonald.s for lunch.
Drove toward Little Rock.Stop at an Arkanasas TIC and obtain maps,info and hotel coupons.
Stayed at the Comfort Inn Airport.Little Rock. and use the discount coupon.
Had a pizza dinner at Boston Restaurant.Our waitress is a lonely Filipino American.

What a Day!... So on Sunday, August 3, 2008 I wake up and get ready with no set plans for the day, except to meet a few other co-workers from other locations in the world for dinner at around 7pm. So I figured I would just let the day play out as it may until the evening... I thought maybe I would take a cab to Beale St as several tours depart from that area. ... Clinton memorabilia rife with gifts from dignitaries, artwork, photos, and such. A round table was set (with the china stolen by the Clintons when they left, haha) in the style of a formal White House dinner. Also on display were the dress and suit worn by the First Lady and the President at Clinton's second Inauguration. The rain has slowed, a little bit, the puddles plop and I pay no attention now, plop plop my way back to the car, get in and wipe my glasses dry. At riverside (the Arkansas) the brand-new Clinton Center sits, the parking lot is full today, a man is standing, pointing down another street, I turn and park four blocks away, reload the camera, set out walking in the rain.
