Beaufiful place right next to the sea. The first business hotel I stayed, where I could swim in the sea every morning before going to work.

Lovely drive with Geoff and Amanda to Lefkosia (Nikosia) where we crossed the Turkish border. We did some shopping and had a drink of fresh lemonade at one of the cafes in the Suk.

We then drove to the Mall for some lunch before heading to Lefkara, a small village in the mountains famous for their lace and silver.

We got home after six, got changed and went to dinner in the town of Lemesol at TGIF.

... I am searching for the very best and this time while here I badly needed to spot one restaurant with excellent food that won't disappoint customers who might drop by to experience and taste something different from what they are served in the hotels they stay.

The Pasalimani restaurant is actually in two buildings. The one above close to the highway seems to be for winter use. The other below is a bit shabby inside but we like most others, chose to have ...

Cyprus is investing a lot of money in golf courses as it is a large market and can increase seasonality throughout the winter months however Spain and Portugal already have a strong golf market therefore they already have tough competitors established. In 2013 the Cyprus Tourism Organisation attended the International Golf Travel Market IGTM in Spain, the largest golf tourism exhibition in the world and attracted over 1,200 ...

    The road to the capital

A travel blog entry by abe1701 on May 11, 2013

... Yet skirting the seaside strip up to the freeway at the beginning of our trip reveals signs of Cyrpus commonwealth legacy, as well as the latest wave of invaders and settlers. The Cyprus road regulations and network are very similar to the UK counterparts. They drive on the left hand side of the road, steer on the right, and obey pretty much the same Highway Code, albeit with some subtle differences since ...
