The English Inn in Eaton Rapids (outside of Lansing Mi) is where we got married one year ago October 4, we went back to celebrate our anniversary and recall that "day of days". It was a little warmer this year but still a nice cool misty October afternoon / evening. Here are a few photos from this year, we will post some photos from the wedding in a few days.

Love to All, Tom & Donna
I discovered that leaving on the 19th instead of the 18th added $150 onto the price (ouch). Since I am a mentor, I have the commitment to be in the dorms up through the 18th, so that we as a staff, can check all of the rooms to make sure they're empty. I got out of it after speaking with my supervisors. Thank whatever powers above that control us that my supervisor is a extremely liberal...she doesn't lean ...
East Lansing, Michigan, United States cde2007As you can see, our travel blogging is grossly behind our itinerary. We are more than two weeks into the trip and have not posted a single entry regarding our great American road tour! The first few days we were dealing with many "surprises" (see next entry) during what we are now fondly calling our shakedown period. But we also are finding that the idea of being electronically connected with all of you isn't working as easily as ...
Dimondale, Michigan, United States pmf1153After a hectic weekend with graduation and parties, it's finally time to head overseas. I've been planning this trip for almost a year now, hard to believe it has finaly arrived. We depart DTW at 3 PM, make a couple stops on the east coast in Baltimore and Philly before we fly into Dublin. We will be there Tuesday morning. We are staying at the Ashfield House, located in the city centre. More info to come later.

Even if you haven't studied Renaissance or ancient Roman architecture or art, anyone would appreciate the sights which are breath-taking. Our photos can't possibly capture the experience of seeing it live, but we tried.

The best thing would be if this blog encourages you to plan a similar trip- I wish we had done something like this sooner!

Ciao...Pam & Jim
Dimondale, Michigan, United States pmf1153After a long, crazy week of wedding planning and our wedding (!), we are trying to find motivation to study for our last three finals each. We both have two finals tomorrow and one on Tuesday morning. There is so much cleaning to do! Our apartment is in shambles, laundry is everywhere, the fridge may be housing toxic mold, along with text books and wedding gifts ...
East Lansing, Michigan, United States langeamaSunday 6th July We actually had a fairly good night despite the fact that we were in Walmart carpark! A road sweeper woke us up in the middle of the night but that is quiet normal as we have been discovering! We did our grocery shopping and used the 'restrooms" and shot through about 9am. We were bound for Sleepy Hollow State park near Lancing in the centre of ...
Lansing, Michigan, United States manningnzTina and I made it home safe and sound. Our flights were smooth and on-time. What a bonus! I did arrive in Michigan hearing of several inches of snow and bad roads. And guess what? That is exactly what I found last night at 11 p.m. I decided to brave the roads however and made it home around 1 a.m. Yesterday sitting in the Guatemala airport, Tina and I were discussing our trip and remembered a couple experiences we had to share. When we were at lunch in the ...

Lansing, Michigan, United States johnsinclair... one watch. One shoe, containing two necklaces. One CD case, containing 12 DVDs and my iTunes backup CDs. Suspicious? We thought so too so after I stopped crying a bit, I called American to report it. She told me the only thing they would probably be able to cover was the shoes. Not the electronics and DVD stuff. So I cried a little more. And I emptied the dishwasher. This morning I got up and Mom had called the credit card company. They said they could cover things up to $1000 on ...
