We spent the night in the Holiday Inn. This has been updated since our last visit. It all looked very new. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to try out the fitness centre or the swimming pool. The breakfast selection was good.

The only strange element for this visit was the parking situation. You had to register the car to avoid payment.

The travel doesn't stop here though, we continue our travel with flights home, making the entire journey back 4 days long. Our time in Africa we have visited five different counties. In all five countries they do not serve any diet sodas, which I found interesting. The only have Coke, ...

Another last minute and tasty breakfast but a bit less daunting than yesterday's and we were off to the bus stop. Traveled north to Grasmere where William Wordsworth lived. We strolled around the village, stopping for a cappuccino early on and lunch a bit later, both at the same spot - The Miller Howe ...

A sad time for her and all those involved and connected to her. I finally meet David, who bought her previous house and has somehow become her carer, doing shopping and so much more over these last fourteen or more years. Joyce speaks loudly ...

... at the course and it reminded me of the Old Course at St Andrews very flat with a few hills and lots of wispy rough.

The fact you cannot see all the 200 + bunkers on the course lulls you into a false sense of security which has quickly got you looking for hidden dangers.

My playing partner today was an American called Seth from Colorado. He was a top bloke and we had a ripper day out on the course and also ...

... and that is the Edinburgh Woolen Mill which is a chain of stores and has some very good quality clothes and linens and this store in Ambleside was no exception. Pat & I picked up a few more items for ourselves as did Darlene & Terry.

Pat & I did some walking around the town and discovered a small waterfall which we walked up to and sat and relaxed before doing some more wandering and trying to find our next place to eat for supper.
