... sand, covered head to foot (and pretty much sleeping with my face in it) as Jake watched, amused, we decided to make a move, so packed up our things and made our way back through the tunnel and up the hill. It took about 15 minutes to get back to the road as we had to walk right around an RV campsite, but we eventually got there. We waited about 45 minutes for a bus, as relentless ants kept crawling all over our shoes/feet and legs. They were everywhere! Horrible things. Once on ...

The "Toontown" area was actually quite funny to see, mostly because it was exactly like the Toontown online game that Jordan and I used to play when we were younger. It was like stepping straight into that game! We also did the "Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage", where you're in a half-submerged submarine, looking out portholes to see artificial undersea things like coral and fish. More people turned up and still no bus. After about 10 minutes I went inside to check the bus schedule ...

... grass as a clip from the Lion King was played and when Jack Sparrow made an entrance, also appearing to be striding through the mist on the water, balls of fire and jets of flame shot up from the surface of the water as canons fired. We were about 20 metres back from the edge of the bay, but we could still feel the heat and were still dampened by the spray from the fountains. (You can tell by the detail in this paragraph that this was a favourite of ours!).

Slept in. Well, till after 7am at least. We let the girls wake up in their own time and everyone was much happier for it. Started the day at Disney California Adventure. Headed straight for the Radiator Springs ride at Cars Land and picked up a fast pass for later in the day so we could do the ride twice. It's a great ride, you tour ...
