Today we drove to Cades Cove in Smoky Mountain National Park. Because it was through the mountains, the road was slow but picturesque. We stopped at a picnic area for lunch, then continued on towards the Cades Cove loop. Part way along the loop, we hiked to the Abrams Falls. About a 5 m hike ...

Today we drove through the center of the park. We did a short trail walk in the afternoon and then headed to Clingman's dome (6643ft high) for sunset - around 5:30. ... were interviewed. Traci met me for the show and then we walked two blocks over to Market Square for a southern lunch at Tupelo Honey Cafe. Back on Gay Street I checked out the Mast General Store. I finished the day at Camping World. The service department diagnosed my stove problem as a valve that needs to be replaced. Since they didn't have the part, I'll stop in Rockford on the way ...
