    ... decided to go up to see the Flight 93 Memorial.  It was a scenic rider up to the location and when you turn into the Park you drive a 3.5 mile driveway to get to the current memorial.  They are in the process of building a bigger Visitor Center and walkway and a 40 Memorial Grove of Trees (which are almost planted and represent the total passengers & crew).  We walked up the ramp toward the Wall of Names and in the field is a boulder placed there by the Park ...

    ... early today; 4.00 ish.

    Took a drive to find dinner and ended up at Pine Grill which was within walking distance. Nice meal of chicken and veggies for Wes and chicken and pasta for me. Back to the hotel to do some exercise in the fitness room. Not much there but the treadmill worked fine for me. Knees too sore for the stepper. Bit of sightseeing around Somerset tomorrow morning then maybe Pittsburgh (think I said that last night?)

    ... typical Urban America! It doesn't seem that Altoona was ever a big draw for African Americans fleeing poverty and segregation in the south.

    I head back into town, going up one street and down the other. I will admit that the main cathedral is pretty impressive--and looks even moreso from a distance when you don't realize it's high on a hill.

    Then I come down 11th street and... well... OK... It does look like some work has been done on ...
