      Leaving the west behind

... time and every lane into San Antonio was at a standstill. The by pass was busy and before I got to I 10, it was a two lane road again under construction. The ride to Houston was pretty boring and warm, just the way I like it. Then I smartly took a break just before taking on Houston and it's I10. This was my reward for skipping the nature route, five lanes wide with an additional three HOV lanes. Every one of them was a fast lane, none were ...

... Keno from 5 - 9; truckers stop for there regular bowl of gumbo and people were friendly. The chicken sausage gumbo was tasty and Darren had a platter of seafood and then some. Grilled catfish, softshell crab, oysters, frog legs, shrimp, baked potato and seafood etouffe.

We topped the evening off toasting Mom with Whitehouse ice cream. Vanilla and marchino cherries - it was good! Thanks Mom!!!

We met a very joyful gal at the Lake Charles, LA train stop while waiting for our taxi. She had seen Kallen on the train and was asking us about him. She just starting singing and praying for God to continue healing and protecting him! It was so sweet!

Chris and Kallen were thrilled to see the logging trucks and ...
