Busy but fun!

Today I started at 2:45am PST because my plane left Portland Airport at 6am. When I got into the airport to get my boarding pass, Continental had the only mega line anywhere. It took me 45 minutes to get my boarding pass and another 25 minutes to get through security. My gate was fortunately close to security (I could see people boarding while I was going through security) so I did not have to run ...

... why we can’t use our guys, I don’t know. We have crew on our gangway anyway. Still money rules with these people who sit in their comfortable offices and go home to their comfortable homes at night! Why they can’t think of the hard work the crew did in Baltimore and reward them with some nights alongside is beyond me. They seem to forget that this ship is their home as ...

... Portsmouth N.H Tues 08/12 - Thur 10/12

As you can see, they have taken out one Maracaibo trip and given it to the Centennial which means we will have two whole weeks ALONGSIDE in Jacksonville. That will be fun as we will probably hire a car. Of course this could change again at any minute!!!

... and it was "in the slot" (a keeper between 19" and 27"). I started wondering how Jodie was going to prepare this highly prized catch as I peddled back with the fish hanging from my handlebars (it was too big for the backpack).

By now, Crazy Fish, my backpack, most of my cloths and the bike all took on the fragrance of fish and bad shrimp. We had become a 6 wheeled fishing vessel and I had my doubts that Crazy Fish ...

... up at NAS Jacksonville a long shot jumped out of the crowd to give us an assist to get us to Jacksonville International. We raced against the clock across town and even encountered a traffic accident and beat the others to the airport by 20 minutes and were able to catch our flight with out any snags.

... those not familiar, Unibroue's beers follow the Belgian traditions using bottle-refermentation (fresh yeast and pure sugar are added just prior to bottling) and they are only partially filtered. The equation for a great beer dinner is pretty simple: Good beer, Good food, good beer and food that tastes good when eaten together ...

We started rehearsing around 1 pm and just kept at it until 8 pm when we had no choice but to walk out on that stage and do da damn thang for a nearly full 75-seat house.  They loved it.  They were practically falling out of their seats.  It was so much fun. 

I can’t wait to do it again tonight!

We made friends from England to South Africa. We learned that our new friends have houses older then our country....THEY taught us English. We will always remember them and stay in touch. We are blessed!

... and two shows on Saturdays and Sundays from 9-1 and 3-7. It sounds like we will be keeping very busy, but hopefully we will still have some time for fun! Our truck is still not out of the shop yet, so they had to borrow someone else's truck to bring the trailer down here. The truck should be done tomorrow, though, so they get it to us!
