        ... I went upstairs and discovered them. They're were on the banisters, toilet doors, the roof, I have to admit, there were quite a few. And that was only the ones that we found when we weren't looking. The food was quite different and good there too, but I still liked the Gorgons.         Osman took us through the Grand Bazaar, with only 4000 shops. Certainly leaves the QVB for dead! We had to walk in a straight line straight through or Osman warned us we would have been lost in there for a week. It gets up to 400 000 visitors per day (refer to back to Stuff and People). 400 000!!! That's the equivalent of the city ...

        ... paintings known were plastered over during the conversion to a mosque, and now the paintings have been uncovered and restored to their original splendor.

        Dinner tonight is included. It is in the Beyoglu district in a huge white building with a huge interior courtyard (restaurant named Chichek Pasaji).         ... to the Carpet museum and the Istanbul Modern Art museum before making our way to the bus station to go to Akyaka for Zeki's sister's engagement. It took almost 2 hours to get out of Istanbul as it was rush hour and the traffic was horrendous. Our bus was going to stop at Bursa on the way, so we took a ferry across the Marmara sea from Istanbul which was really cool as we could see the city at night from the sea.
