Day 17 Thursday November 27th Happy Thanksgiving everybody. It feels like Christmas come early, stuffed from way too much food. Thanksgiving is a big deal over here. It's a public holiday so people spend the day with family eating lots of turkey and pumpkin pie then sleep it off for the rest of the afternoon. They had a hire car and invited me to catch a ride with them that aftrenoon to Venice Beach, obviously I would never usually take rides with strangers but who could say no to a priest. We ended up in East LA (by businesses, so not in a ghetto or anything) wondering which bus to take in which direction. Left Louisville at 3 pm for LA, via Las Veges. I found out last week that I was flying into LA a day early. They had changed our departure date and forgotten to tell me. I tried to change my flight from Saturday to Sunday, mainly so I could be in Louisville for the UL Final Four game. All flights were booked. Got to LA about 6 pm; my bag arrived this morning.
