Chicago or bust, let's get the show on the road

    The start of our trip.

Departure from Huntsville toward Chicago. Got an all day lay over in Chicago because there is only one flght to Chicago from Huntsville.
All went well other than the American Airlines agent had to physically complete the baggage connection between Paris and Malta. This meant that he had to hand write the ultimate destination. I don' think he has ever heard of Malta.

Up even earlier today - the pain!! Had done most of our packing beforehand but Jordan had one of his infamously well timed blood noses which gave us a minor-ish delay. We had our final information overload of Space history (today was about the shuttle program) & then got to see how much of this info we'd retained with a Jeopardy type game called 'Space Bowl' ...

We then had a play in the MMU - manned maneuvering units, lots of fun - especially sideways. Watched the Hubble Movie on the Dome IMAX & then back for our actual mission. We got to do some science experiments - well I did. Jase was answering all sorts of questions about Australia & ...

... accent?? Maybe if we were from Queensland or Western Australia I'd accept an accent but not Victorians?! So we had a 'team' photo, then did the multi-axis trainer ( the spinny thing), did training for our first mission & built a rocket...all before dinner! Fish & chips or Pit roast for dinner, then learnt about exercising, eating, going to the toilet & even vomiting in space - I wish that talk ...

Something is Fishy at Logan Lake!!

Who likes to fish? We certainly enjoyed fishing with my sister, Dena and brother-in-law John. Of course riding on the pontoon was not complete without Smokey (their dog). The weather was still a bit hot for the big fish but we caught a lot of fun size bass that wanted to fight their way off your hook. Not only did we fish but Galen and John was very busy building some wooden fences to add to the enjoyment of their lake house. We ventured off one night to dance hall, Briar ...
