... the appointment for later in the afternoon and I dutifully go. They put drops in my eyes and after twenty minutes of waiting, the doctor charges in. He's young, and in a big rush. He, at least, tells me what he's looking for as he hurriedly shines a bright light into my eyes: retinal tears or detachment. Apparently any problems with the retina show up as light. "No tears. Your retinas look fine," he tells me. "Have you noticed any new floaters lately?" As a matter of fact, I had. ...
... that he had to survive a Minnesota winter, albeit a mild one, probably in their garage, only to emerge in the nice warm summer. Also consider that someone had to be in the driveway when he made the appearance and you have an interesting series of coincidences. He has fallen into the lap of luxury - his own warm private residence with frequent feedings of crickets and mealworms. Ahhhhh.
And can we talk about the heat.
... like people, they all have different personalities. I hate this heat. It is almost one hundred degrees. Ninety nine. I had to go to gymnastics and it was HOT! We were all dehydrated and tired. At the end he had to go RUN A MILE. OUTSIDE!!!!!!! It was really hard but will be helpful. Oh well, at least we have the air on in the car. ... food was ok. As most of you know I'm very indecisive and like a variety, so I got the Potpourri which consisted of 4 sauces (mariara, meat sauce, clam sauce & brown butter & cheese) and Michael got the meat sauce. We're heading downstairs to the bar for a little bit - there's a band playing. Heading out again early tomorrow!
P.S. Have to buy a new computer in Des Moines as this one is dying. ...
