          ... list goes on.

My plan is to begin updating this blog a little more frequently as we are getting ready to leave. Over the next couple of blogs I will try to fill you on some of the background of some of the places we are going, and people we are seeing...and even give you some updates on some of the kids that we met this summer...

Feel free to keep questions, comments or whatever...

I’m not the only one feeling poorly. Dramamine lady’s face is gray and beaded in sweat. I don’t think the drug is working too well for her. She heads outside a few minutes before the first mate comes through the cabin and lets us know ...

... before I twigged that it was "Ruth the Swedish-Finn" back home who pronounced this place as "Minnesorta". This is apparently a funny take on the Swedes and Norwegians of old who have migrated to Minnesota. Ruth is of Swedish heritage and Paul is a hybrid of Norwegian, Polish and German heritage. Apparently too there are many Finns in Minnesota which is also known as the State of a 10000 Lakes….. Finland is the Land of 10000 Lakes. Is this a ...

I've decided to write this travel blog for those of you who would like updates about my journey. I'm not exactly familiar with the whole blogging thing, so just try to stick with me. I'm not sure there's much else to say at this point except welcome to my ...
