Sunday on the lazy river... the Amazon?
... But that was just an amazing trip.
The ramp to lower the boat on Silver Springs River is very close to Ocala, about 7 miles (11 KM). From there we were going slowly with the boat through a jungle like river, and it really felt like we were in the Amazon. Silver Springs is the site of one of the largest artesian spring formations in the world, producing nearly 550 million gallons of crystal-clear water daily. ...
Weather, Beach and Goodbye
... br> In the distance, a bit south to Daytona the weather was turning bad, with lightning and rain, and at some time the weather came our way, which caused the beach patrol to evacuate the beach, and looking at the clouds, I didn't blame them.
