Welcome to Tijuana: tequila, café y marihuana

Arriviamo
a Los Angeles il giorno 15, alle 1300 dopo essere partiti lo stesso giorno
dalle Fiji alle 23. Facendo i conti abbiamo vissuto un giorno 15 gennaio
di circa 40 ore ! Los Angeles mi ricorda per certi aspetti New York, tutto

... guys all have that distinctive rolling gait - it is impossible to walk properly in them as the useless pointy toe space takes up to half the boot and curls up ridiculously like Aladdin shoes - to walk directly ahead would risk serious tripping! Our time turned out to be a bit rushed, chasing around looking for people to go sandboarding with us - needed a minimum of 4 people otherwise would have cost 100 quid apiece! After one night moved out of ...

... lack of food in the fridge and so everday she would invite me to eat with her and the other residents it was a very humbling position for me to be in,Lupe and the rest were very kind and here i was totally neck deep in Spanish i found that i could understand more than i could speak but i asked what anything and everything meant lol lol and oh they were so patient.I learned alot more about myself in that situation broke and truly in a situation where i had to accept.Did i tell ...

... is half of what we are paying in Canada. By 3:30 I was feeling a bit burnt out so I stopped in Chihuahua and after a lot of looking found the Hotel Del Sol for $25.00 and was able to park the bike right outside my door. The people here are very generous with their time and had a young girl help with the translation. I am sending this from an internet cafe and it is very very busy. Today I rode 492 KM

... the Canyon is supposedly larger and deeper than the American Grand Canyon and along the route there are various sites inhabbited by the indigenious people which makes a trip very interesting from a cultural point of view.

... the after party, the police pulled us over and I got to experience just how a mordida works. You simply suggest to the officer that you´re in a hurry and hint that you´d like to resolve the situation on the spot. After a crazy weekend in Juarez I took a bus to Chihuahua. On the way I saw a gasoline truck crash with a passenger bus. It blew up just like in ...

great experience

... it is crowded days and nights, very pleasant place where it's easy to meet easy going mexican people (are they always are) and second things: "carne asada" means pretty much BBQ done between friends, but with mexicans people it turns fast to 20 kilos of meat + many many cartons of beer and bandas + tequila...it runs for hours and is definitely a very nice way to socialize.

Chihuahua...very nice, just need a first contact then everything rolls...

... 1970s feel to it but the hotel district - Zona Dorado - on the south end of the bay is full of modern, expensive hotels and malls and reminded us of Honolulu. The bay itself, which is almost a completely-closed circle, is magnificent to look at. After two nights in Acapulco we needed to keep moving, this time 240 kms up the coast to Zihuatenejo/Ixtapa. These twin cities sit on neighboring bays a 10 minute drive apart. Zihuatenejo is the real Mexican town, and we ...

... you to buy their wares. This is a "learning" experience for all of us. The Tarahumaras culuture is so different from any that we have experienced. They are on the endangered species list. Where they once farmed fertile lands, these lands are being taken over by the Mexicans. And the Tarahumaras are now being pushed to higher elevations to farm. This results in lower crop yield. Mexico's polution is responsible for the decrease in the amount of fish and deer in ...
