... the Canyon is supposedly larger and deeper than the American Grand Canyon and along the route there are various sites inhabbited by the indigenious people which makes a trip very interesting from a cultural point of view.

... it is crowded days and nights, very pleasant place where it's easy to meet easy going mexican people (are they always are) and second things: "carne asada" means pretty much BBQ done between friends, but with mexicans people it turns fast to 20 kilos of meat + many many cartons of beer and bandas + tequila...it runs for hours and is definitely a very nice way to socialize.
