... them where they were headed. These boys, 18 and 19, were headed to Whistler from Montreal--the West Island in fact--and I couldn't help but see the faces of Mike, Kev, Rob, etc from way back when. I paid it forward...literally paid their tank of gas...and send them on their way for the adventure of their lives. I told them to keep an eye out for me next weekend as I will surely need a beer in return by then!
... some lifelong friends along the way and basically have had a ball!! I am so looking forward to sleeping in the same bed for 7 nights and will be actually able to unpack my bag, or should I say bags as I have had to purchase a second for all my purchases (no surprise for those that know me really well).
Tomorrow we go by coach to Seattle so it is over the US border, so that will be interesting and then onto the MS Amsterdam for my Alaskan Adventure!!

Fall is a season of giving in Canada. The trees are giving their last leaves to protect lawns and streets from the coming snow. ... no demountable work shed and it finally dawns that, if these guys didn’t work in the rain, progress would grind to a halt from September through to about April each year. I also realise that I still haven’t quite made the transition from down under to Eh? It will take time, but it will happen. Ah well, time to go gas up the car and head back home to charge my cell phone before the hockey starts ...

After Lunch we wandered slowly back to the hotel stopping off and looking at the outline of Rogers arena and other interesting buildings finally we got back to the hotel and rested and had dinner and then off to bed ready for the next day.
Well woke up at 7am and it was pitch black and quite quite so i looked out the window and no wonder the whole city was ...
