    Igår hade vi en jättefin dag på Venice Beach då vi badade i de stora vågorna i Stilla Havet och solade i det 20-gradiga vädret. Eftersom det är lågsäsong var inte så mycket folk där, vilket var skönt. Samma tur har vi haft med Universal Studios och Sea World då vi aldrig behövt …

    ... Theater. It took us west along the final stretches of Route 66 along Santa Monica Blvd. We saw the Vanderpump restaurants. We then headed into the exclusive Holmby Hills and then Beverly Hills. Most houses have limited visibility from the road but glimpses of roofs, gardens, garages, etc gave us an idea of the opulence. Millionaires don't live here, just billionaires. We passed the Playboy Mansion. No more parties. Hef is too old. There were some entertainers living in this area ...

    ... Marilyn Monroe, and Jimmy Stewart. If you are in this city for some reason, stay nowhere else. It is such a treat.

    Our new year's eve consisted of visiting one of this planet's beautiful places, we saw whales, we are staying in a fantastic hotel, and we made a new friend. I do not think it possible for our 2014 to have ended better. We hope yours went as well. Happy new year everyone!
