    This morning we went to Perrytown and bought some fresh baked bread and some cheese curds and summer sausage. Then we crossed over the Mississippi River into Illinois.     We left Carlock this morning and drove through light showers. The skies stayed blue all day, but the fall colors are still very nice. We arrived at Cape Girardeau, Mo and are staying at Cape Camping and RV Park. We are hoping for clear skies tomorrow. The farmers are all having to wait with their equipment in the fields for dryer weather before they can start combing again. We drove by the Arch in St Louis (Gateway to the West).     ... br> Compared with yesterday it's a cinch of a day. At dinner we meet 2 newcomers, Dana who did most of the trip in 2010 but was brought down by a fellow rider and broke her elbow and wrist. She has come back with a friend, Sarah, to complete the trip. It's great to have some female company again.
