A travel blog entry by 1930ford on Jun 09, 2015

We woke this morning with blue skies. Had breakfast at the 50's Diner then it was hit the road. Right off the bat we were on some gravel roads that turned in to dirt with grass growing in the middle and then it turned into a cows trail and thats when I stopped. I turned around and found a new route to Hannibal MO. Toured Mark Twains home and museum. We walked the town and had some ice cream. We had a few people stop and ask about the cars. After breakfast we head out for a drive to see what the lake looks like. The area around here is sparsely populated with many trailer homes scattered here and there. It ...

Another nice Corps of Engineers Park!

We have really been enjoying these COE Parks - $12/night for full hookups is hard to beat! Just a couple days' stop here, catching up on laundry and shopping before we head for our friends' Gary & Kathy's house near St. Louis on Thursday.

... br> Compared with yesterday it's a cinch of a day. At dinner we meet 2 newcomers, Dana who did most of the trip in 2010 but was brought down by a fellow rider and broke her elbow and wrist. She has come back with a friend, Sarah, to complete the trip. It's great to have some female company again.

There is talk of a tornado tomorrow. And we thought the weather was crazy in England.
