... a nice height to cruise at.

Five hours later - First stop - Memphis, Tennessee. Landed at a very large Memphis International, as it was closest to Graceland, and Signature had a crew car I could borrow for a few hours. Only 10 minutes drive had me in the car park, and greeted by the King's planes.

... tonight! - and did I mention a RESTURANT! This roughing-it-across-country-in-a-little- airplane thing is really getting to be a challenge! The trend I see is small, municipal airports that encourage small airplanes to stop with cheap fuel and very friendly hospitality. They say it only gets better going west. So, I'm here in eastern Missouri, poised run the convective gauntlet (thunderstorms) between here and Ainsworth in NW Nebraska. Lots of time to watch the Weather Channel ...

    Day 1

We pack up and leave Indiana by 11:00 am and head off to Missouri. The drive is good with clear sunny skies. We stop for gas and then over to Walmart for ...

We have really been enjoying these COE Parks - $12/night for full hookups is hard to beat! Just a couple days' stop here, catching up on laundry and shopping before we head for our friends' Gary & Kathy's house near St. Louis on Thursday.

... br> Compared with yesterday it's a cinch of a day. At dinner we meet 2 newcomers, Dana who did most of the trip in 2010 but was brought down by a fellow rider and broke her elbow and wrist. She has come back with a friend, Sarah, to complete the trip. It's great to have some female company again.

There is talk of a tornado tomorrow. And we thought the weather was crazy in England.
