Before the morning meetings, I walked a little bit around town, in the cool air, past the FedEx stadium and to Beale Street, the center of the music scene. After a couple of sessions in the morning, I got my rental car (which was a surprisingly slow process -- the guy on duty wanted to wash it twice) and headed out of town. ... br> Compared with yesterday it's a cinch of a day. At dinner we meet 2 newcomers, Dana who did most of the trip in 2010 but was brought down by a fellow rider and broke her elbow and wrist. She has come back with a friend, Sarah, to complete the trip. It's great to have some female company again.

There is talk of a tornado tomorrow. And we thought the weather was crazy in England.
