... shuttle launch and thinking of the crazy people inside who had just strapped themselves to several tonnes of combustible fluids. The Shuttle was making its way to the Internatioanl Space station, which we knew nothing about before but are now totally fascinated by it, its pretty cool even if it does use a lot of fossil fuels to get up there.
In honor of the Shuttle launch we spent several days in the area and checked out the Kennedy Space ...

A few pictures from today's activities, tomorrow, we move away from the coast as we start the trip back to Atlanta and the end of the journey for this year, but for just one more night we will go to sleep to the sound of the Ocean.

... beach, where we saw dolphins bathing.
In the afternoon we went to Wekiwa Springs Nature Park, near Sanford, where we rented a canoe and we ventured into the jungle where we saw huge turtles, many birds, snakes and especially aligators. Half way we have fallen a tropical rain, filling the boat with water and soaked us. The adventure was worth it.

Sanford, Florida, United States cyo... old, and some of the buildings still exist. We walked around for hours, just checking out the parks, markets, and old buildings. The trees in Savannah are what is distinctive about it, they basically are a symbol of the city. We went down the famous river street along with many others, the road on this street is still made of cobble stone and brick. Truly an old, unique, very pretty city, unlike any place we have ...
Daytona Beach Shores, Florida, United States nicandjessicaWhy is it that whenever I'm looking forward to going somewhere and just getting away from the normalcy of life, I always forget that I have to go through the stress and tension that comes with packing? I mean, how can I keep on neglecting to remember that some of my stuff has to come with me wherever I go? It's ridiculous. You'd think I'd have learned by now that travel involves packing ...
Oviedo, Florida, United States howlingcoyote19My dad and I went through flight options a couple days ago and finally booked my flights to London. Yay! We tried to do it through the Delta website, but for whatever reason, the return flight in December was really messing with everything. They only had one flight option and it would have made the return trip 26 hours long. Talk about ridiculous. So instead, we went through expedia.com to book the flights ...

Austin doesn't really like grits so he's more of a cereal and powdered milk kind of guy. Powdered milk....not too bad. Our refrigerator is pretty small so we don't try and keep many perishables. Lots of pasta and tomato sauce, as well as velvetta shells and cheese. Canned chicken ...

The shuttle takes three days to reach the shuttle research station in orbit. The accommodations for the three passengers is surprisingly cramped. Knees to chest position for three days travel! Thirteen countries are ...

There is a major reconstruction project going on, so I was unable to walk the parapets but visitors are free to wander the grounds and visit the deep vaults of the building. A National Parks warden told us that this is the only fort that had never been captured in over 150 years of attacks by British and French forces ...
