The art of packing

... packing it. The pilgrim Hasids had cool hat boxes that they used to put their hats in the overhead bins, but this poor guy had to trust that his hat wouldn't get crushed in the bin or else hold it on his lap the entire time. (You can't wear them in the seats because the brim is rather large, blocking you from leaning back in your seat.)
So now I'm home. It took me 24 hours of being home to brave trying to unpack my carefully packed bags. And I still have a ...

Bye Seattle... for now.

Yesterday was blissfully relaxing. We meandered around and shopped a little bit. Gee, I miss world market. Matt came up and we went to Sushi Revolution - yum. Fun times to be had by all. Had to be at the airport this morning ungodly early. I checked in online, although there wasn't a bag drop, so it really didn't save time.

She said she was doing okay but would still need to be in the hospital a little while longer. Julie, get better soon. Where our energies are needed are with Kai's platelets. In his short life he has had 3 transfusions to raise their levels. Each time he continues to hold his levels a little longer but he hasn't reached the 200-300 platelet count that is considered "normal range".   I do not have any information on what low platelets could mean ...

As y'all know he doesn't have much weight to spare, so he agreed to have a PEG tube placed this coming Thursday. Since the procedure is done through the throat, it is not recommended to wait until he needs it-there will be too much swelling and it will be much more painful and stressful to undergo ...

... the produce, the sea... oh and food yummm! We ate, we shopped, we walked! After a great day of finding great art, and local eateries and artisan stores we had a great massage at the hotel. Up to Seattle

... It was still really fun though! The following day we checked out the Woodland Park Zoo! It's just a zoo - lots of animals trapped in enclosures. They did have an australian 'wombat' which was really a kangaroo though!? That night Kayleigh took me to see her old High School Volleyball team in action! It was pretty cool - and funny. They celebrated just like you see on American movies... not really ...
