We woke up at 4:45 am on Jan 7 and did the long and pretty strenuous (for us, at least) 1.5 hour approach hike to Crimson Chrysalis. We know this is a really popular must-do 'Classic' Red Rocks route, so we were worried about crowds, but somehow we lucked out big time and arrived to an empty parking lot and nobody on the route ahead of us!
