      We woke up at 4:45 am on Jan 7 and did the long and pretty strenuous (for us, at least) 1.5 hour approach hike to Crimson Chrysalis. We know this is a really popular must-do 'Classic' Red Rocks route, so we were worried about crowds, but somehow we lucked out big time and arrived to an empty parking lot and nobody on the route ahead of us!

      ... jacuzzi, and benefit from a deep tissue massage. Think the pain indicated she'd reached the knots! I couldn't leave without a small wager now could I? Don't think the hotel staff member had ever met anyone who in Vegas had never used a slot machine, placed a bet or gambled! So last of the big spenders I paid my one dollar,randomly pushed buttons and made $10.75!!!!! Decided to leave while I was in credit!
      Only just got installed at new hotel when knock knock there ...

      ... was an awesome place that covered a 100 miles or so. A couple of our party suffered with heat exhaustion and one had to have medical help - but both were OK.

      Bridget the bike loved it and showed no signs of overheating. She is certainly a hot lady!

      ... and ate at the hotel in the Steak House. A good reminder that the only food in Vegas is steak, preferable stuffed in some way with some kind of expensive seafood such as lobster or shrimp. Food was pretty good but does get a little repetitive. Sarah experienced her first surf n turf and loved it.
