          The 48 hour day

A travel blog entry by rpjmroy1 on Mar 21, 2015

Wake up call came at 3:30AM. Left the hotel in Wellington NZ at 4:30AM for a 7:00AM flight to Sidney AU. After a 2 hour layover in Sidney we boarded our flight to LA arrived in LA at 7:00AM exactly 24 hours after we left Wellington. However we left Wellington on 3/21 and arrived in LA on 3/ I had another full day ... I gained the day that I had lost last February. I told Hannah that she should have been on this trip as ...

          Punting on Avon River

Delight yourself to the sophisticated luxury of the English Oxbridge, where cotton-shirted, straw-hat-wearing punters glide passengers across the majestic gardens of the riverbanks. Next stop in the evening... because if you drink, you gotta eat... with a strong recommendation from our crew: Canter's Restaurant, Bakery and Deli - a long standing traditional Jewish establishment. Great neon, great kitschy decor and fabulous food.
Stuck back in time the look may appeal greatly to those, like me, who enjoy a trip back in time when traveling.
The bottom line? The perfect end to a perfect day... family, friends and good food. Fini.

... approximately twenty minutes. For those of you unfamiliar with, it is a grass roots organization whose purpose is to connect LA residents with activities that match their interests. This particular meetup was the Saturday morning hiking group. This was their first meeting and most had never met.

I had to smile. Only five minutes previously, I felt helpless, alone and lost; now, I was rejuvenated, part of a like- minded group hungry for ...
