... in the depths of Uniteds luggage pit. Much later that day, we are informed there has been succes and the luggage has been retrieved! Only to be informed the plane will now have to be reweighed for balance after losing a sixty pound gal and what must be her massive amounts of luggage....bloody hell why don't you repaint the feckin airplane while your at it! A full two hours later with a lovely sunset in the works we once again hear the request to buckle up ...
Yesterday, I tried to fix my stay at a guest ranch in the Texas Hill Country. However, the ranch of my choice is closed for a week due to a family wedding. I have checked for alternatives, but I either do not like the ranch or it is way too expensive. Therefore, I will jump on a horse in New Mexico or Arizona. Naturewise I will like those states better anyways.
So, this forenoon I will hop in a bus to San Antonio. Jan 29th in the evening, I will fly to El Paso.
Oh my goodness! What a night! 8 girls in 1 room coming and going at any time of the night. Making loud noises, putting the light on, snorring crazy, clogging the toilet, jumping around in the upper bunk, very limited respect. Under these circumstances I had my difficulties catching sleep. Am I getting too old for a dorm?

... blaring loud music. This is a factory head deck we are talking about, not a custom stereo you could install yourself and obviously annoy people at your own peril. We it's dumb because with the roof down you can't hear the stereo as well for obvious wind blown and ear slapping reasons, but you can't turn it up any louder because it's volume limited! Arrggghhh. ... a meal. Then, despite the fact that Devon is apparently on a diet, he baked a Rum Cake (minus the rum as he thought kids might not like it)! Not only that, in an effort to make up for the huge bags of kettle corn and other treats he's sent home with Mason for the kids, he bought fat free icecream for me and used a natural sweetener in the Rum Cake, instead of sugar. Now that's going the extra mile!
