... days and we try to stay a week at each new stop. So there is a quasi-schedule. Mike tries to have reservations for the next two RV parks. So, my logistician husband likes to stick to his plan. No problem. We can always pull over and wait out the storm if necessary. It's not so much driving in the rain, as dealing with the high winds pushing the motorhome all over the road.
... So we were queued early . . . got to board early . . . didn't have to walk very far down the track to our car . . . and were able to face in the direction of travel (sometimes you have to take a seat facing in the opposite direction . . . not the preferred setup!).
We picked up a couple of bakery items in the station . . . and after the train got going . . . I agreed to retrieve a coffee for me and a couple of milks for ...
... so it was really wonderful to spend 20 minutes catching up.
Thank you Ann Arbor...we didn't get nearly enough time to enjoy you, but the time we did have was the perfect pick-me-up...and to those friends/co-workers we didn't have a chance to see, I'm so sorry! Our visit was a bit last minute, so we didn't have the time to coordinate better. We'll probably be back for the holidays, so we'll see you then!
We figured the trip was going to be about 5 hours, so we took our time and cleaned up at the local "LA Fitness", then stopped at a coffee shop [our new favorite is Caribou Cafe] to start our trip refreshed and relaxed. Even though we waited out morning rush hour, traffic would be the most intense we have experienced yet. Mary checked the route which had been recommended ...
