Here's some things that made our trip easier:

Invaluable:

Solar panels, large inverter and battery capacity all combined to make us self-sufficient and allowed us to boondock (no hookups) so we only went to a campground every five days or so.

TomTom GPS - this was one of the most valuable tools of our trip. It guided us from beginning to end and never let us down.

Oh Kansas, where have you been all my life? lol just kidding, so far Kansas has been a lot of fields, hay barrels, and torrential rain (I drove through a couple of monsoons yesterday). We left Snowmass/Aspen early Wednesday morning on Rt 82 towards Independence Pass. We had forgotten how beautiful it is up there and we enjoyed our brief walk around the boardwalks.
