Good place to stay, had restaurants at back of hotel. The 320 bus only took 15 mins to get into the PABT next to time square. The bus stop is outside he hotel and was $7.50 return, so pretty cheap....

The next day Robin and I killed time whilst we waited for Stan (who I also used to work with in Oxford) to turn up. We spent most of the morning catching up and then went shopping on 34th Street. Our kids are certainly not used to walking so much! I can't say that Conrad is loving it here, he is finding all the people, the heat and the closeness of everything ...

... was doing another traffic survey...) A trip Google Maps thought would take just under 4 hours ended up taking 7 and a half hours. Of course, they always say "without traffic," but when are these roads without traffic, especially in summer?

It turns out Maryland House does not have a Starbucks, so we stopped at the first service area on the New Jersey Turnpike. Big mistake. Apparently a bus ...

... we got drench, but it was exhilarating! Back to New York for our night, we spent it at Yankee stadium watching the Yankees versus the Blue Jays (Toronto). Yankees won....great game, loved the YMCA show by the ground staff, funny! Our last day we walked through Central Park and did some final shopping And then we ended our trip in style with a trip to the airport in a stretch limo....where did 6 weeks go!!! What a trip....every part of it was ...
