Good place to stay, had restaurants at back of hotel. The 320 bus only took 15 mins to get into the PABT next to time square. The bus stop is outside he hotel and was $7.50 return, so pretty cheap....

... if all the good stuff is kept in the basement and these are all just copies? What a truly remarkable Museum. We are foiled by the rain though as I had wanted to go up to the rooftop where the views are meant to be wonderful. They have closed the roof due to wet weather- bummer.

It was quite hot, and I've been coughing a lot ever since we got off the Trafalgar tour, and not feeling 100%, especially as I haven't had a decent night's sleep over the last couple of weeks ! Now my nose has started running so that's a bit of a problem. Anyway, after we completed the tour, it was still light and not too late, so we went or a long walk ...

... area, but was pretty popular. We bought two double chocolate cookies. They were so rich. They were more like little clumps of cake, and the choc chips were all melted even though the cookie wasn't warm. Jessie would have loved it, as it was sort of like cookie dough, so soft and smooshy. It was really good but we could have bought one for our whole family to share. Next on the food list was to get a hot dog. I have been quite weary of ...

... is excited about coming to Melbourne. Two young Bethel boys said that they had never met Tasmanians before. (Are we that strange?) They both worked in the computer dept, and also roomed together. We will look out for them when we do the tour. (See meeting photo)
So that brings me almost up to date. Just a few New York observations. It is big! Just getting anywhere is a big deal. Let me explain. eg Are you going uptown or downtown? Just take train ...
