Travelled from Fife over to West of Scotland and Hamilton, just south of Glasgow.
Watched the game which Hamilton won 2-1 and really enjoyed the atmosphere. On the radio on the way home though learned that there had been fighting in the players tunnel after the game and the Police had been involved. Boys will be boys!!
Sat with the Hearts fans ... not happy! Team were poor and they can see their club is in decline!
... em back! Now that's what I call a family!" Try thinking of this in a Scottish accent.
A small glass of Glenmorangie and then off for dinner. Haggis, neeps (Turnips mashed) and Tatties (Spuds mashed). Very nice and very filling.
Home to meet the family. A great welcome, some more Scottich accents and off to the Motherwell version of an RSL for a sing along. Some ...

As we traveled through the city we noticed the astounding architecture that had been built. Most of it was very modern, comtemporary work because of the war destruction in the Glasgow area. We took a look at the famous art school and imagined for a second what it would be like to work in their studios.
... Apart from that can recommend Relais FRANCESCA in Piano di Sorrento.A super small hotel with parking -important in that area! Also close to train station for Sorrento,Pompeiietc.
P.S.DON'T plan to eat outside Pompeii site-take something with you or use cafe inside.
Cheers

Tow truck 1, turns up at 11:50 to take me on the first leg of the journey home from Fort William to Stirling. This takes approx 3 hours and I get dropped at Stirling service station where I am supposed to be met by the next tow truck. It takes about an hour for the next truck to turn up. Which was arranged for 14:30
... up a rope ladder into the treetops (some up to 40 feet high) and completing various activities to get through the 2 hour course. The obstacles included ladders, bridges, zip wires, trapezes, stirrup crossings and Tarzan swings. It concluded with a flight back to the starting station on the longest zip wire in Britain at 426 metres.
At first I was pretty apprehensive as we were given a half hour training session on how to attach and then unattach ...
... lecture on time, only to wait 20 minutes before Katie, Jess, and I decided that the professor was not coming that day. Back to my flat with the intention of taking a nap, but Emma was on Skype for 3 hours with her friend from home so not much sleep took place. Instead, I updated my cover letter and resume and looked up internships for the summer. 3pm lecture beginning a new novel (French this time; The Mandarins by Simone de Beauvoir) and then rushing back to my ...
Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom bxbomberbabe... corner back to our flat. One thing I will say about Scottish culture that is different from American (and apparently Aussie from talking to Emma) is that they start the evening at about 7 and then turn in about 1am. In the Bronx, we won't go out until 11 or so, at least. It'll be an adjustment, for sure. January 9- The last day of orientation!! 9am in the Boyd Orr building once again, this time for incredibly boring lectures about Health Services, Effective Learning Habits ...
Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom bxbomberbabe... They generously offered us both a glass of white wine to taste and we, in return, offered up our worthless opinions afterwards. Well, perhaps only MY opinion was worthless as Rebecca drinks white wine quite often whereas I prefer red. We wandered from here to there in the city centre, hitting all the major/minor outdoor shops looking for moleskin and ended up striking gold at a shop called Greaves. By then it was close to 6 PM and we were rather ...
